Very dark brown with some foam at the pour, which quickly dissipates. Initial taste is on the sour side. Smells of oxidation. Some grain flavor but mostly it's the dark dishwater with a little sweet malt at the finish. Not at all pleasant, but it's possible to drink it if you're distracted with television.
Maybe this is just old, but there's no bottle date to let you know. This is a very poor excuse for a Porter, but then it was only $4.45. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Skagit River Produce near Conway.

Got as an extra, so not bad. Just don't think I would buy it!
A: A 1+ fingered head with good retention formed atop this dark brown brew from a hard pour into a standard pint glass. Unfortunately, as the head settled it left no lacing.
S: Hints of caramel mix well with grainy, earthy, chocolate malts. Some vanilla and cream notes pokes through adding some much needed character.
T: Bitter hints of coffee make a showing, toffee notes are subtle and overshadowed by an unexpected lemon tartness.
M: Well carbonated, light bodied considering the style, crisp finish.
O: Take the lemon tartness out and this would have been a more enjoyable tasting.
