First had: on tap at Flying Pig, Everett, WA
Poured a clear amber with a thin white head that dissipated rather quickly. Basic roasted malt aroma, nutty, and pretty light. Malty taste, okay, but bland and uneventful. Hop bitterness just barely noticeable. Left a stale aftertaste. Light-medium body, fairly drinkable, but not big on flavor.

This brew is crafted by Lazy Boy in Everett under contract for the Haggen / Top Foods grocery chain. 22oz bomber poured into a pint.
A- Pours an nice rich amber with a brown hue. Forms a quick dissipating off white head. Average lacing.
S- Nice balance malt aroma, some sweet some bready scents on the nose. Pretty well done here. Nothing extreme.
T- Nice toasted malt, well rounded. Above par here. Some sweetness, but not too much.
M- Falls flat here, literally. Could use more carbonation and the finish is too wet, the beer feels very watery and thin.
O- I would go for this brew again if in the mood, and certainly affordable. Nice change of pace. Sometimes its good to keep things simple.

Poured into 10oz glass. Poured a clean, clear reddish/copper amber with just a thin cap of off-white head that had low retention and lacing.
The aroma was fairly mild blend of malts and a trace of hops. On the tongue, the beer was also a balanced blend. There was nothing wrong with this beer, but it really had no noticeable features either.
The body was typical, smooth, even and balanced with a clean finish. Drinkability was decent, you could knock off a 22 easily. Overall, a solid but unspectacular beer that would probably make a good introduction to craft brews for your mainstream friends.
