Pours a pretty amber color with a few bubbles and a thick, creamy, and lasting, almost nitro like head. Looks fantastic. Aroma and taste are big let downs, however. This beer is entirely lacking in hops. The aroma and flavor both offer some nice jammy fruits and hints of caramel malt but they are utterly hoppless. The smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel also lacks bitterness. This beer is not overly sweet in any way. It just lacks hop presence and doesnt fit the style well. This would be better described as an amber. Drinkability is fine, just not as an APA.
