Hated 22oz bottle poured into equally hated shaker pint glass. Poured a very attractive clean, clear dark copper color with about a half-inch of tan head that decent retention and very good lacing.

The aroma was slightly malt forward, and the citrusy hops ruled the back end.

The taste was the same, a bit malt forward at first, but solid citrus hops across most of the tongue, with a very nice bitterness on the finish.

The body was fairly typical for the style, perhaps a wee touch on the fuller side of medium than most, and finished dry.

Drinkability was fine, as expected. Overall, a fairly average, or slightly above, example of the style. Worth your time if you're in the mood for a big, classic, ImpIPA.

341 ml (exp. 08/2016), pouring in a small tulip. Deep amber with abundant and dense foam. Dank notes all the way. A powerful DIPA showing earthy hops and cracker notes from malt. Alcohol doesn't show much for what it is, and it has a very balanced bitterness. Medium body and smooth mouthfeel.

Canadian beer of a dark orange color and a beige foam with nice retention. Extremely turbid.
Taste and smell are basically citrus with extra fruity notes and a hint of alcohol. It's easy to feel the hops as well as the yeast (nice yeasty notes). However, there's nothing special in this beer, the only highlight I see is the huge IBU - oh yeah, it tastes bitterness!
Body and carbonation were not balanced at all. I wonder if something went wrong during the brew.

Pours toffee amber color with thoj off white head with good retention and lacing. Tons of earthy piney hops in the aroma and a touch of onion. There is a decent malt backbone here - a bread and cracker bass that lets the hops shine.
Lots of bitterness with wood and earth bitterness dominating. Finishes with a lingering bitterness as well. Medium body and carbonation. Not a bad double IPA.

Dark luminous amber with plenth of foam. Big aromas of the whole universe of hops. Wind through the pines and across the rotting fruit pile. Taste is fruity yet dark. Woody but sweet. Tangerine and orange marmalade.

Sharp mouthfeel. This is really pretty whacky and interesting. Intense but not unbearably bitter. The current version is 8% according to the label. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Haggen Market in Burlington, Wash.

9% ABV, 93 ibu, 650 ml bottle.
A - Hazy amber copper color, with two finger light milky yellow head. lacing.
S - grassy (dry hopped maybe?), grapefruit, piney, dank, mint, toffee, pear, syrup, dank, pumpkin pie, dried raisin. little bit tartness, dried lychee.
T - smooth tiny bubble body, good carbonation, mid heavy body. first hit with a massive bitterness, maltiness n sweetness balanced out, lingering, nice long lasting of the hop. some kinda islay whiskey after taste, the smoky.
O - it's batch #2 recipe, great IIPA!! smooth, massive bitterness, sticky ,syrupy, malty, bit of heat from the alcohol. delicious! will get it! (lesson learnt here is, ipa indeed should be drunk fresh, i have the second bottle two weeks later, the hoppiness is weaker.)

On draft at Craft, Vancouver.
Glowing ruby-amber with sepia crust.
Red berry, nectar, jam and a bit of toffee on the nose.
Danish pastry, herbs, citronella, red Twizzlers, then blood orange, pine sap, and red grapefruit hops.
Strawberry finish and Berocca linger.
Medium, sticky, well chewy, some oil.

Galaxy, Columbus, Cascade + Zythos.

Big and fruity. IBUs over aroma, amber more than DIPA. Nice and juicy; hops and malts both there.

Just so red!
