Pours cloudy rich amber, with lots of foam - a bit overcarbonated perhaps - but it dissipates fairly quickly so it isn't too aggrevating. It leaves a fluffy rocky head.

Smells like... ...beer.... maybe a bit sweet.

Tastes like ...beer... It has a typical beer flavor, tipping to maybe a bit hoppy.

Somewhat thin mouthfeel, not very fizzy on the tounge, but maybe a bit syrupy or buttery.

It has a fairly bitter finish, and it leaves a bitter aftertaste in my mouth which I really don't care for.

I can drink this, but I'm not going to seek it out. If this were sitting next to a mass produced beer, I'd grab this in a second. At least it has some character.

This beer had a nice light mahogany color. The beer was very clear, and it had awesome lacing.

The nose was of brown sugar, molasses and some clear whiffs of underlying alcohol.

The taste was on the fruity side. Nice plum notes with a low but delectable hop presence. The beer is also slightly sweet. I would not pair this one with spicy food, but it would go good with about anything else.

Nice low carbonation, but the mouthfeel is slightly thin.

An enjoyable session type beer.

I seemed to like this beer a little more than the others who have reviewed,pours a deep copper with light soapy-like head,aroma is malty and bready with some light fruitiness.The flavor of this beer starts out on the more malty/fruity side but a zesty hop breaks thru the subtle maltiness in the finish.Not a bad beer in my book its a easy drinker as well.

The beer pours an unblemished copper color, the head a semi-creamy light tan, modest in size and as it erodes a fine and satiny curtain forms to seal off the glass. Nose is mostly malt; sweet as is the start, top is light in its feel to the palate. Finish is delightfully hopped, mellow in its acidic bite, very dry aftertaste, but just a bit too thin-waited to rate much more than average, would make a decent session beer I believe.

Medium brown color. Small white head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied amber ale. Malts are fruity and sweet, Hops are mild and slightly spicy. Crisp and refreshing, somewhat malty. Nicely hoppy. Good balance. Finish is clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Copper hue with a mild haze. Ivory white, thin, persistent head. Exiguous lace trails. Mild soapy hop reminescent of dilute citrus scented dish detergent hits the nose initially, then tapers slightly to allow butterscotch and vapid sweet caramel to surface. Brief biscuit sweetness incipient in flavor is superceded by a permeating wash of honeyish sweetness and an obtrusive, damp, mildew like must. Bitter, cheap perfume astringency emerges mid palate concomitantly with token light caramel malt, lending a lingering, detracting inbalance. Slight yet noteably acrid, acetic bite files in late, accompanied by a hints of nutty, buttery movie popcorn and hammy orange peel. Lanky, but passably dextrinous and fluid in mouthfeel. Finishes dry and dungy, with notes of stale sourdough wheat sprinkled with fructose. St. Stan's Amber is only a few notches beyond horrid, and an utter disappointment. It's the Texas Tornado of the west.

Just like AKSmokedPorter, I recieved this in a beer of the month shipment, damn those things are awesome. Anyway, this poured an orange color with a fizzy off white head that dissapated rather quick. There was a strong cidery aroma that floated out right after the pour, which lead into a thin malt nose. The taste was a little bit weak, I have just started getting into this style and I tend to like the ones with more bite. It started of a little watery and flavorless, then the hops chime in for a sec, then an unpleasant aftertaste. I'm able to drink it yes, but for an amber ale I don't think this is the best.

Pours a light, cloudy amber, not much head, no lace. After reading Jordan's review looked for the metallic taste but it wasn't there. Its hoppy of course - what amber isn't?? Light-medium body, hoppy/bitter finish. The St. Stan's site lists the ABV at 5.6%.

Metallic, metallic, metallic. This beer is plain aweful. Would have rather had a Budweiser. The scent was okay, and the appearance was moderate, but I have to deduct points for sheer lack of neglect in making this brew.
