620ml bottle from Tesco (£2.75):
Clear, medium amber with a thin, patchy surface lacing on top. Very weak on the nose, faint malts but almost nothing showing. Subtly sweet flavours coming through but fairly subdued with some pale malts & grassy flavours mainly. It’s fairly light to thin with an pleasant enough sweetness throughout - somewhat disappointing but not the worst either.

More turbid than this brewpub's hefeweizen, Lager Beer's appearance raises immediate concerns.
Drinks more like a kellerbier than anything else, though I think the oxidated/unhunged damp basement vibe is all but deliberate. Pilsner malt backbone, I guess - or at least it's pale.
Drinkable and not unrefreshing, Lager Beer is a nice beer for the Thai heat but won't impress the discerning drinker. I'd happily recommend it at 140 baht per pint, but only to those deeperate for a change from the usual fizzy yellow fare ubiquitous across Thailand. Not worth going out of your way to nab, but surprisingly competent.
