We were on our way back to the rental house after a long day touring the island. We randomly selected Duncan to find a place for dinner. After arbitrarily deciding to turn left at a red light, I saw one of my favorite words, brewpub!
The interior had lots of dark wood and exposed ducts and vents for that pseudo-industrial look. The bar was off to the right, with large dining areas to the left and upstairs. Nice looking place overall.
Oddly, our waiter was wearing a Guiness apron, which made me think the beer selection wouldn't be the greatest. I was right. Four house beers, plus a rotating tap. More guest taps (Guiness Bass etc.) than house taps.
The food was fine, but nothing too memorable. I had a spicy blackened bleu cheese burger which was very tasty. From other plates I sampled some excellent spicy catfish and some mediocre bbq chicken pizza.
The rotating tap was a brown ale that was okay, but bland. The only other beer I tried was a pale ale that wasn't anything special. I don't think Duncan is far from Victoria, so I'd suggest making your way there. Plenty of better options.
