On tap at Max und Moritz in Berlin where it is nicknamed the "Kreutzberger Molle." Brewed not far away in Kreutzberg at what I would consider a "Bio" brewery. They leave their beers unfiltered and with yeast.

A hazy golden straw color. An unfiltered version of the Pilsener, and a really interesting find to look at. Slightly darker than most German Pilseners, but still within the category.

Full bouquet of aromas. Because the yeast is still in the service, strong bread like aromas come through. The hops give a meyer lemon smell that is married with the touch of malt that is there.

Taste is very different than most Pils - it's much richer, but no heavier. More breadlike, like an American Lager, but still hoppy - mostly lemon with a touch of orange and pine. Quite well balanced in spite of the uniqueness of the brew.

Highly carbonated - even more so than many Pilseners - but it counteracts the yeasty flavors. It could be lighter bodied, but it works the way it is.

Very refreshing on a summer day - paired well with the summer chicken special (a slightly Italian version of the grilled Hänchen) at Max und Moritz. Also was a good pair with mixed sausages, braised pork, kartoffelklösse, and sauerkraut at a later visit. If you get tired of traditional pils while in Berlin, it's worth the trip.
