Copenhagen 2/5 2021. 50 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. De 5 Gaarde's usual logo with a stylized drawing of a farm house in a red version (it is a Christmas beer after all).
Pours unclear orange amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 m thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the ides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with toasty notes. Caramel, toffee, biscuits. Lightly toasted malts. Light citric notes.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft yet tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish. Lingers for a while. Finish is toasted and sweet.
A quite decent stroll down the caramelly, toasted road.
