This was a big, complex, smooth beer. Spent 18 months in the barrel, and you picked up every note. Big bourbon, but balanced with a big, sticky, raisin malt backbone. Glad I picked up a few bottles.

Had high hopes for this one, got to try it at dayton's big beers and barleywines before its "wider" release in columbus. great malty, caramel, sweet notes, but with no noticeable hop bite, it simply tasted like a scotch-infused heavy red ale....
