I tried this at Schmidts in Cbus. It poured a dark amber with white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had sweet roast presence. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with some malt sweetness presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.

A: Dark brown but not completely opaque, big tan head
S: There is a clean, nutty, bread scent
T: it begins tasting like it smells. its balanced nicely with a slight bitterness from the hops. finishes on the dryer side
M: Standard medium-light body, nothing amazing
D: this is a good beer. I had it as part of a variety sampler, all from Schmidt's were good!

This was listed on the Schmidt's Sausage Haus menu as being brewed for them by Elevator. Deep dark brown with some lighter highlights, it looked like rootbeer in the glass, even the head resembled that frothy, big bubble type. Nice and pleasant dark bread aroma. Tastewise, fresher and more satisfying than the warsteiner dunkel that was on tap. Flavors of brown bread with just a hint of metal (from the water?). Nice burst of citrusy hops in the finish.
