This beer is good and has a malty overtone. The nose is lager like, but taste is much better. Very west coast style. Great beer that I’ll get again next trip.

A: The beer is relatively clear amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger white head that has very good head retention and consistently left a short head covering the surface.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose along with hints of caramel.
T: The taste follows the smell and has strong flavors of herbal hops along with hints of caramel malts towards the back end. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The herbal hops in this beer are a little harsh, but this beer would help to cut through some meals.

A: Pours a relatively clear medium copper in color with moderate to heavy amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium golden yellow + amber colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy light beige head that quickly reduces to a medium sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of toasted, caramel, and bready malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of herbal, citrus/grapefruit pith, and citrus/orange rind hops.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted, caramel, and bready malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of herbal, citrus/grapefruit pith, and citrus/orange rind hops which imparts a light to moderate amount of aggressive bitterness which lingers well through the finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with hints of dryness in the finish.
O: Alcohol is well hidden but this is a bit of a throwback IPA - malty upfront with aggressively bitter hops. Not sure I would go searching this one out again but worth giving it a shot.

I picked this one up off the single shelf at the Kroger near my house. It poured a hazy copper with white head, no lace and floaties. The scent had hints of bitter hops. The taste was bitter leaning from the start and was not easy to drink. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's not a great ipa.
