22 ounce bottle purchased from the taproom a couple weeks ago. No dating on the bottle or label that I noticed. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, peppermint, roasted malt and dark fruit. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with some cream and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Peppermint is definitely there but not overpowering. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Wish there was a little more body to this but that's a minor complaint. Overall I liked this brew, wouldn't mind buying it again in the future!
