Plenty of amarillo hops in this one.Awesome wheat beer. They now call it american wheat and have deleted the honey. This beer has tons of grapefruit taste.I love it.It is a better version of gumball head from three floyds,ok,maybe not better but close.

The first of all eight pints that were available at the Elevator Brewpub during the Rock on the Range weekend.
The beer opens with a standard Hefe or Witbier look. Pale straw in color that seems to glow up against the light. A froathy head forms on the beer and lingers through the session. Nice lacing all along the glass. An inviting appearance through the hazy and glowing beer.
A lot of complex sweetness comming through in the nose. Pilsner malts, Wheat malt, and honey additions ride along side of the fruity esters and bubble-gum notes that seem sweet along with the malts and honey. Lightly spicy with lemons and grassy hops.
Flavors of bready and sweet malts set the stage while the honey gives an extra nectar and honey-suckle sweetness that seems to override the balance at times. Yet the honey flavor stands apart and is clearly distinguishable from the malts. Hopped a little higher to offset the sweetness, but only does so part of the time. Citrusy and peppery flavors also help to balance the beer.
Creamy and rich textures seem to straddle the fence of cloying at times. But the malty body never seems heavy or thick; only creamy and silky. Alcohol heat also plays a part with a slightly minty numbing late.
Quite a good and clean beer. Any malt fan might feel at home with this sweeter wheat beer. For me, the balance is off even if intentionally so. Nice honey fragrance, nuances, and sweetness throughout.
