Served on tap into a pint glass

Appearance: This beer looks exactly like a wit beer does. Hazy golden yellow with little carbonation being evident. White head quickly dissipates, could be because of the lemon added to it (shame!)

Smell: Banana, yeast and sugar. Not very complex but smells up to par.

Taste: Sweet and sugary. Lemon peel, belgian yeast and artificial banana. Pretty middle of the road here.

Mouthfeel: Sweet and slick in the mouth. Easy to drink and not dry, but plenty of quenching ability. The fries I had were so salty I relied on this beer to get me through the meal. No alcohol presence.

Drinkability: Quenching but not superb. I can't see how these guys get by with just their own beer, when a place like Barley's offers so much. I wouldn't bother even getting a growler of this.

This is the June selection in Elevator’s "MBA" program. This is the first seasonal from the Elevator that has been poorly done. It is also the first time I have had the equivalent of a "drain pour" at a brewpub, being unable to come close to finishing it. Served with a slice of orange. The beer is cloudy yellow/gold with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Slick lacing. Aroma of light spices and citrus. Light-bodied and crisp with a zesty spice and citrus flavor for a split second, then an immediate blast of soap and moldy yeast flavor that is wince-inducing. Moreover, this unpleasant flavor seems to coat the tongue and stay there. The finish is no better, as any of the good flavors are overpowered by the lingering moldy wet dish rag flavor. Maybe an off batch but I will be scared to ever try this again.

The June 2006 monthly specialty at the Elevator. A bright yellow, very hazy color. Served with an orange wedge on the glass, which then flavored the beer. Light hoppy and citrus aromas and flavors. Decent carbonation. I think the orange helped the taste, although then the citrus tended to dominate the smell and taste. Very good for sipping on a warm summer evening.

Served as a sample at Elevator Brewery. The color was a very light gold, with a bit of white head. The smell was heavily spiced. The taste was well-spiced, with a very nice hint of corriander to the beer. The mouthfeel was light for a wit. As for drinkability, certainly one I could session on.

A nice little wit from Elevator. A nice session beer, even in the midst of November, and certainly one I'd have again.

This beer was a straw color with a small white head which left little lace. If had a faint aroma of hops and citrus. The flavor was of hops and citrus. The finish was light and tangy. A good session beer.
