The Vienna Lager was on special and the bar tender told me it may become a regular. Served in a standard pint, the beer is a dark garnet with a tan head.

There is a nice malty aroma with some chocolate and molasses.

This is a tasty malt bomb. There are lightly roasted grains, caramel and a bit of chocolate in the background.

The mouth is solid and the beer has a very friendly level of carbonation.

Sessionable to the max. Nice version that deserves to be in their regular line-up. Well done!!

A decent brew that is good in appearance and taste. The look is of a nice dark amber with red hues. The head is off-white and reasonably well formed. The head lasts a while and does lace well. The nose is malt, somewhat caramel in character. The taste is mostly of malt and does have enough hopping for balance. Medium feel, smooth and crisp in the finish.

Me: Do you have any seasonal beers?
Waiter: Yes, we have a Vienna-Style Amber Lager.
Me: That sounds good, I'll have that.
Waiter: Here you go.
Me: By the way, what do you call this beer?
Waiter: Vienna-Style Amber Lager.
Me: No, I mean what is the name of it.
Waiter: Vienna-Style Amber Lager.
Me: Oh...

I didn't like this one as much as Great Lakes' Eliot Ness but it was still a good seasonal from the Elevator. Lack of creativity in naming it aside, it was not a bad beer at all. Dark amber color with medium bone white head and rather sticky lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor was sweet and a little syrupy. I'll get this one again next year.
