I tried this at Schmidts in Cbus....it poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had nice biscuit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bread crust flare. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a tasty beer.

A: Deep gold color with a decent white head
S: there is a floral yeasty smell with bready background notes
T: nice sweet taste followed by a subtle hop flavor. This beer is well balanced with the bitterness
M: Medium body, this was a decently smooth and clean beer
D: very good dortmunder, but I think Great Lakes version is more accurate to the style (as also noted by the post below). This is worth grabbing, however, if you're in german village

Served on tap at Schmidt's Sausage Haus, German Village, Columbus, Ohio and brewed under contract at Elevator. This is a Dortmund style lager and a good one at that. It is a good looking dark gold with a decent white head that lasts awhile and some lacing in the early stages of a mug. The taste is pure yummy, bready, yeasty, and, perhaps, just a bit light on the hopping. Very much like GLBC's Dotrmunder Gold, but not quite as good.
