32 ounce growler from Blacklick Wine and Spirits. Served in a DFH snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stayed around for a little while. Good amount of lacing. The brew smells like coffee, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, and some dark fruit. The taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some burnt/charred malt and a little bit of a nutty flavor. Leans more towards being a bitter, roasty stout than a sweet tasting one, although the sweet flavors aren't hidden at all. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and has moderate carbonation. I think it's a good overall brew, I enjoyed it.
