Another seasonal from the Elevator, this beer is a dark amber color with a medium thin beige head. Thin but sticky lacing. The aroma is very malty and smoky. Medium-bodied with an intense smoke character. Malt, caramel and a bit of hops are overpowered by the smoke flavor which just about ruins the beer for some reason. The finish is lightly bitter with malt undertones and again the smoke. All in all this would be an enjoyable beer but it is not only the smokiest Scottish I have had, but probably the smokiest beer period.

Served as a sample at the Elevator Brewery. The color was amber, with some light head. The smell was a very light malt. The taste was fairly light, and sweet in a peaty Scottish way. Mouthfeel seemed well-balanced. As for drinkability, could definitely have a few.

One of the better beers at Elevator. Though certainly not a Wee Heavy, was still a solid one, and another one to have again at Elevator.
