On draft at the restaurant. Shaker pint.
A: hard to see on this light, but appears to be a very dark brown, slightly translucent with some ruby glints shining through. A little sandy head, but not much to speak of, with no real lacing.
S: chocolatey. A little of that bloody/flinty smell that I associate with the old Killians, and similar Irish red ales. Perhaps a little woody, earthy hop note. Doesn’t smell bad.
T: chocolatey, toasty arrival, then sweet; full-on sweetness, chocolate and hazelnut is right. Finishes with a lightly medicinal hop note, very mild.
M: heavier side of medium, moderate carbonation, quiteclean, given its weight.
O: a very sweet and chocolatey brown ale. Not really a nut brown as I typically think of them, more like an American brown, but a good example. I would drink it again, but not necessarily seek it out. I think Chomo is better.

Pretty basic brown to me, nothing that stands out too much, kind of bland but not offensive, malty toasty and nutty as it should be, light tang to it.

On tap at the brewpub.
pours clear copper-brown with a good head.
Good but not exceptional aroma. Moderate strength.
The flavor is a bit bolder and has a nice, lasting roasted grain finish and aftertaste. Enough hops to add flavor in addition to keeping he bitter/sweet balance near even.

Tastes like a traditional English Brown Ale, true to style. Could be slightly more carbonated, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Friend brought a growler over, I was happy to help him polish it off. Growler filled in the afternoon, consumed that evening, review from notes.
A- copper/auburn in color, head is minimal and doesn't stay around long, little to no lacing.
S- I thought the nose had a slightly metallic scent to it. Other than that it had the standard bready malt nose with just a trace of bitterness.
T- Bready and toasted malts come through here in the taste, metallic presence isn't evident, which is good. Slightly nutty as well, maybe like a walnut-bread.
M- Nice carbonation, not too much, not too little.
O- The metallic nose really threw me off, and this beer never quite recovered in my mind. Other aspects of the beer appeared solid, but probably not good enough to go back for.

As with most of the regular beer at the Elevator, this one was served in a standard pint glass. The beer is brown with reddish highlights. There is a thick beige head.
The aroma is of musty malts, a light hint of brown sugar.
The taste is very light. A bit of sweetness, a bit of rolled oats and lightly browned malts. Needs to be a bit more assertive across the board.
Mouth is decidedly average. It is a bit to thin for a brown but I suppose could make it easy to drink several.

Pours a light brown color with a one finger white head that gives a decent amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is of roasted malt and a decent amount of nuttiness. The tatse had a nice roast malt backbone with a big nuttiness present and a hint of dark fruits and a slight bitterness. The mouthfeel was light on carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer, its an easy drink but there isn't the conplexity of some brown ales.
