Birrificio L'Olmaia "Winter Duck"
€3 / ,3l on tap @ Diorama, Firenze, IT on 26 November 2019
Notes: Not to be confused with Christmas Duck which is 8.5%
Look: Slightly hazy mahogany brown colored body beneath a short head of light tan.
Smell: Cocoa powder, light fruit, and soft spices.
Taste: Notes of golden caramel, darker caramel, some cocoa, and a hint of chocolate and light roastiness. Grassy and herbal with a soft spiciness (coriander, cinnamon, allspice). Hints of Belgian yeast character. Median bitterness. Mild lingering finish with cocoa and soft spice. Mild throughout and readily accessible despite being spiced.
Feel: Medium bodied and smooth.
Overall: Really well balanced and highly drinkable.
