A strong, dark, fragrant, and hoppy ale. A beer with great character, American and German hops, caramel malts, and coriander spice added at the end of boiling make Duck “dangerously drinkable.” A small tribute to the village elders who called a hangover “nana” (meaning duck in Tuscan).

330ml bottle in Naples, Italy. The beer has a strikingly deep brown color, with warm amber highlights and a thick, long-lasting head. The aroma is quite complex: you’ll notice dark caramel and biscuit notes, along with hints of ripe banana and prunes. The coriander is obvious, but there’s also a touch of candied orange and ginger root that adds extra dimension. On the palate, it begins with a subtle bitterness that gradually builds—first gentle, then more vigorous, and finally loud and clear. This creates a kind of musical crescendo that balances the flavors—or maybe shifts the balance—leaving a fresh balsamic echo. And all the while, it hides that 8.5% alcohol content quite cleverly.
