This beer is a dark, brownish colored liquid with a lot of cloudiness from the yeast. The head is about average. Not bad looking, I'd say the beer is average in appearance. The smell initially has some herbal and floral hop aromas. Perfumy. Behind the hops, there's a medium toasted malt scent. There's also just a bit of misplaced twang in the smell. That twang, in the taste, turns into a distracting and pretty annoying sourness. Lactic acid? I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that's not intended to be here. Other than the distracting sourness, the beer does have a respectable malt presence. Not really sweet, the beer finishes dry. The acidity really plays with the mouthfeel. All in all, this isn't a great brew.
