Picked up at the Metro while in Montreal.
Pours a cloudy brown, orange edges, big thick off white head, few lace spots, looks okay. Smell is sweet, quite fruity, nice malts, kind of a spicy yeast aroma, faint touch of roast. Taste is very weak and watery, bit of malt, light caramel, light fruit, but almost nothing. Mouthfeel is light bodied with low to medium carbonation. Easy drink but not a lot of flavour.

Deep chestnut colour, pours a thin beige head. Aromas are soft dark fruit (plum, fig), subded malts, with some slight hopping. Tastes spicy, plummy, some prune. Pretty damn watery finish with lots of spritz. Good to see a Canadian Dunkel-weizen. But it it is pretty standard!

A: Hazy reddish-brown, off-white/light-tan head, no retention or lace.
S: Banana bread & cloves.
T: Banana bread, slightly grainy astringency, slight citrus.
M: Moderate body and carbonation.
D: Light in alcohol, but not an easy drinker.
Such a low alcohol, wheat beer... I wonder if it hasn't travelled well.

Bottle: Poured a deep dirty brown color weizen with a medium off-white bubbly head with average retention. Aroma of banana and ester is dominant and quite pleasant. Taste of semi sweet banana bread with strong yeasty finish is enjoyable. Body is light with some average carbonation. Interesting take on a style that doesnt get distributed often around here.

I assume this is a Krystal dunkelweizen as it was clear and dark cola colored in the glass...weak 2 finger cap went fast...only light lace...disappointing.
Very weak dunkle weizen aromas: some light toast, subtle burnt treacle seetness and thats about all.
Weak wheat malt presence, light body, sour spoiled character.
ewwww... sour-yeasty off- tastes up front like a spoiled unibroue lees ale....nothing here to resemble a proper dunkelweizen...fast, thin, unpleasnt mustyness and sour off tones that dont belong in this style
Leave it on the shelf
