Tried this at Fuji Rock, July 2009. This edition of #3 was actually contract brewed by Sankt Gallen - past versions have used a different brewer, future versions are likely to also.

Best beer at Fuji Rock. Taste is closer to a red ale than an amber. Big malty taste without being sweet - in fact it's quite a dry unsweet beer which is unusual for Japan. Nice sharp bitterness.

Outside Fuji Rock it's quite difficult to get this beer - but Tokyo Brewing has just opened a new retail store in Tokyo. Details at tokyo-ale.com
