Pitch black and opaque with dark mahogany edges and a two finger beige head that slowly settles into thick, lasting ring. Very good retention with sporadic streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly roasted dark malt aroma with hints of robust coffee, silky chocolate and lactose sugar. Not too acrid or burnt smelling with lightly roasted coffee bean, burnt toast and oatmeal followed by silky desert-like sweetness. Hints of chocolate truffle, caramel and toffee. Lactic cream adds to instant/Vietnamese coffee character.
On the lighter end of medium body with really strong sweetness along with astringent bitterness in the finish. Sweet malts with chocolate, caramel, toffee and lactose sweetness along with bitter hops, burnt malt and used coffee bean. Weird combination of flavors with many of them tasting artificial. Not all that interesting with weak coffee and stout characteristics.

A coffee milk milk stout brewed by Kris Ketcham and Brian Gallagher at Stone - Liberty Station.
Appearance: Very dark with a creamy tan head
Nose: Earthy, roasty, with a touch of chocolate and cream
Taste: Dark chocolate milk and mild coffee, like a bitter mocha
Palate: Creamy mouthfeel with a touch of astringency from the dark malts. Lots of body considering this beer only being 4.1%. Very Nice!
Overall: Another tasty creation from brewer Brian Gallagher. With Lactose and Coffee from ACME Coffee Roasting Co. Brian put together a delicious stout that can be considered a hybrid between Irish, sweet, and a milk stout. I recommend letting this beer warm up to really open this beer up.
Recipe info:
Mash: Mild Malt, Crystal 110, Black, Roasted Barley, Chocolate Malt, Coffee Beans
Hops: Magnum
Other: Lactose
Yeast: 004 Irish Ale Yeast from White Labs
ABV: 4.11% IBU: 45.2
