Poured out of a growler with a little bit of slush still in it. Beer mail was cold today... Pours a nice orange/copper, no head as I poured very gently. Smells citrusy and sweet. Gettin a huge aroma of melons, as well. Like a big ripe honey dew melon. Interesting. Initial taste is fruity. Pineapple, melon, grapefruit rind. It's also a little sweet. Medium mouthfeel with slight bitterness on the end. This is a good ipa with a ton of juicy flavor.

On tap at the Kettner Street tap room and brewed at the Liberty Station facility. Clear golden color with a decent head in the snifter. The aroma is more like melon than any other hops I've tasted. Medium body, a classic IPA profile, along with the rather sharp finish.
Some pale malt flavors with a hint of sweetness on the lips, but overall it's a dry brew. This starts to taste more bitter after some sipping, but it's a tangy sensation. Citrus tang like tangerines. Some dark twiggy notes like a touch of juniper. Resins along with the fruit and a moderate bitterness in the aftertaste. The El Dorado hops are another variety that should produce winning brews. It's not quite like anything else but it fits in with the currently popular tropical fruit flavors.
This is my current pick for the most drinkable of Stone's IPAs. Instead of abuse, the hops are a lovely blast of flavor.
