Served in a snifter poured from cask on hand pump at Stone World Bistro at Escondido.
A - Brown/Dark Brown in appearance, it's a notch or two lighter then I remember the original smoked porter being. Had a thin tan head that dissipated quickly, but left nice lacing down the side.
S - Wonderful aroma, this beer is worth getting just for the smell. Coffee and chocolate are very prevalent as well as malt, caramel, toffee and a hint of smoke. Really a great smelling beer.
T - The taste doesn't stand out nearly as much as the aroma but it is still very good. Malt dominated, with coffee, chocolate, lactose, and toffee in the background.
M - Thick, rich, and creamy with very light carbonation. Much thicker than the normal smoked porter and very smooth.
O - A delicious spin on the smoked porter. Worth trying for the smell alone.
