Went and checked out the new Stone location in Point Loma.

A - Clear, light and golden. Good head leaves fast, but the small bubbled cling coats completely.

S - Very light malt and rye. DIdn't get much smell at all. Maybe too cold.

T - Nice sweet malt center, bitters off nicely and ends with a nice rye tang.

M - Good carb, good balance, nice finish. I think less hoppy and let the rye help to bitter out.

D - Very tasty, easy beer to drink. ABV well hidden.

Pours a bright golden orange color with tangerine hues and a one finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing coat the glass on the way down. Looks good.

Earthy floral hop aroma with a strong spice presence along with sweeter fruit notes and a pale malt backbone. Earthy grass, pine and resinous oils along with peppery rye, pale biscuit malt and cracker. Smells pretty good but the rye slightly overpowers.

Lighter end of medium body with nice balance and more complexity than aroma suggests. Tastes more like a traditional wcipa with dank resinous oils, grassy pine needle and earthy bitterness countered by tropical fruit sweetness, citrus rind, pale malt and subtle peppery rye. Citrus peel along with pineapple and ruby red grapefruit followed by bread, biscuit and grainy cracker. The rye presence is very subtle adding another layer of complexity without overpowering the hoppy IPA characteristics. Very good beer that's dangerously drinkable.
