This is a hibiscus flavored brew, but mostly it's hibiscus colored. This is about the reddest beer you may hope to see. Even the head is just plain pink, which gives it away that this is not a Red Ale. Actually, it's nothing like a Witbier either.
Quite pretty stuff, with the clear amber-tinged red color. Not much aroma. Rather sweet. Overly strong and weirdly floral, plus the usual heavy Stone hand on the hops. Some Hawaiian Punch with herbal bitterness.
This seems like a misbegotten bastard of a beer we hope will leave home and never come back. On tap at my favorite Stone outlet, the Kettner Street tasting garden.
