On tap at Bier Thirty in Bown tonight.... Pours a hazy orange with a decent enough off-white head... okay lacing.
Nose is a perfect storm of acetic, diacetyl and funky feet... The aroma is just offensive from the get go and gets worse as it warms up and the acetone notes burn your eyes with every sip.
Acidic is an understatement.... corked red wine vinegar with buttery vinous notes and astringent tannins on the finish... burns from the time you take sip until long after it goes down the gullet and into the stomach, you can literally feel this beer go down your digestive track. Abrasive and absolutely no finesse.
I was so excited for this one and haven't been this let down in a long while.
I received a full goblet for a very reasonable $6... the sink received about half that goblet.
Soooo bad.

Poured a cloudy gold with minimal head and lace on top of a musky, grape aroma that has some citric hops to it as well as a bit of sourness. Smooth and spicy beer with a touch of yeast present but mostly a balance between some citric hops and a little bit of funky, sour fruits. Notes of fruit sweetness as well. Not a bad beer at all but just a little all over the place.
