On tap at The Surly Goat in West Hollywood, CA.
Described as an amber ale brewed with coconut and hibiscus.
Pours a hazy dark copper with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, citrus zest, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest and fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but there is no real coconut or distinctly hibiscus qualities in my opinion.
