Had on tap at Cork and Craft side by side with Modern Times Fruitlands. Excellent companion and on its own. The wine barrel aging married with the tart Montmorency cherries made this a standout. Very nice BA beer with a great nod to old school Goudenband- like Belgian brown ales and blendings with tart cherry lambics.

On tap at Spokeasy Public House
A: Pours hazy dark brown with a light brown head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little lacing.
S: Tart cherry, dark fruit, a little funk, light bourbon, vanilla, and a touch of toasty malt.
T: Tart cherries up front, a touch of bourbon, vanilla, molasses, oak, a hint of chocolate and toasty malt, and a little sweetness on the finish.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: There's a lot going on in this one, maybe too much. The tart cherry stands out, but I'm not sure how well the bourbon barrels complement it. That being said, I imagine this is probably close to what Russian River's Supplication would be like with a different barrel choice. Very interesting brew. Glad I got to try it.
