I have to confess that Porters are not my favorite style; in fact, I sort of go out of my way to not drink them. However, had this one from a growler and served up with Thanksgiving dinner. It was great with the Turkey (4 kinds, roasted, fried, smoked and Hawaiian style (i.e. cooked in the ground). It was great with all the fix'ins too.
Sweetish, malty, roasted grain with tones of molasses, brown sugar, coffee all rounded out with a nice bitter hop character.
I'd drink this one again.
