On tap at the Stone Company Store in Pasadena, CA.
Brewed with pomegranates and coffee beans.
Pours a murky dark orange-red with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, pomegranate molasses, earth, and slight coffee bean aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, pomegranate, earth, and slight coffee bean flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with pomegranate qualities that dominate over the subdued coffee beans.
Serving type: on tap.
