Appearance: Served up a relatively clear, medium-dark brown body with a half-inch cap of beige foam. Creamy-looking lace.
Smell: Burnt breadcrusts, roast with pithy rinds and resiny pine.
Taste: Charred toast, earthy roast quickly leans to a full backing of citrus, pine and a moderate hoppy bitterness. Perhaps a scant fruitiness is found, but it's mostly obscured by the hop bitterness and roastiness, leaving the whole endeavor feeling rather muddled. Finishes off fairly dry with a decent amount of bitterness still remaining. Lingering roast.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Faintly creamy.
Overall: An uneven, clumsy offering.

Really pleasantly surprised. I thought by description it my be syrupy sweet but it is a great combination of stout and IPA. Very drinkable..

12 ounce draft in an IPA glass,
Good IPA, the Hallertau hops star, but the advertised RIS, figs and plums are a no- show. It's priced fairly and worth a try.

This is a rich brew that features a dark copper color with an of white head. Spots are left for lace.
The smell is predominantly darkly sweet, almost like treacle. Light hop spice in the background.
The taste mimics the smell. Thick body with moderate carbonation. Overall, a malty offering with plenty of residual sugars and just enough hop bitterness to keep the beer from being candy - like.
