Had the opportunity to try this during my trip to the Stone Berlin Brewery in Sept 2016. It was listed as a prototype and immediately caught my eye. Draft menu had it listed at 9.3% Abv, 40 ibu, imperial porter.
0.3 l draft served in a snifter. Appearance was dark brown/black...not as black as stone RIS. Smell was strong coconut with faint hints of hazelnut, coffee, cocoa beans. Taste was rich coconut with Abv well hidden. Absolutely loved this beer and hope it gets added to a seasonal rotation.
I heard that stone brewed this in collaboration with Maui brewing company?? Not sure if that's true or not. Heard they are possibly bottling this for a Berlin-only special edition soon.
