On-draught.

Tastes like what I imagine a urinal cake tastes like.

Clear amber with a fairly big head. Nice citrus and sweetness on the nose. Taste is overbearing. Sickly sweet, sticky mouthfeel, notes of licorice. Not my thing.

L: Poured from a growler to a snifter glass. Had an amber color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Very good lacing.

S: A nice aroma of hops, malt, citrus, pine, and caramel.

T: Tasted of a mild amount of pine (not as noticeable), a fair amount of malt (in the finish), earthy, dank hops (lots of them), citrus (grapefruit, in particular), and a hint of caramel. A thoroughly tasty West Coast DIPA with a much earthier flavor than most in the style. Surprisingly smooth and pretty sweet.

F: A solid amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This isn't exactly a style-breaking beer, but it does its thing very well. Quite drinkable.

Draft at Holy Hound in York, PA. Pours a clear golden amber with a modest white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, citrus rind, orange, caramel, pine and a hint of dank earthiness. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat sticky; carbonation is sufficient to highlight flavor but not obtrusive. Alcohol is remarkably well hidden. Finish is clean and refreshing. Pretty good Left Coast DIPA, IMHO.

Flying under the radar as a double IPA, should be called a West Coast killer. Packs a punch. Blows away all the “WC IPA”s of recent memory. Good beer.

Poured a clear golden orange body. Mild citric and grapefruit with hint of tropical fruit aroma. Smooth, clean, light bitterness, citric and grapefruit flavors with no noticeable ABV and is an easy going beer.
