Clear amber with a fairly big head. Nice citrus and sweetness on the nose. Taste is overbearing. Sickly sweet, sticky mouthfeel, notes of licorice. Not my thing.

L: Poured from a growler to a snifter glass. Had an amber color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Very good lacing.
S: A nice aroma of hops, malt, citrus, pine, and caramel.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of pine (not as noticeable), a fair amount of malt (in the finish), earthy, dank hops (lots of them), citrus (grapefruit, in particular), and a hint of caramel. A thoroughly tasty West Coast DIPA with a much earthier flavor than most in the style. Surprisingly smooth and pretty sweet.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a somewhat slick finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This isn't exactly a style-breaking beer, but it does its thing very well. Quite drinkable.

Draft at Holy Hound in York, PA. Pours a clear golden amber with a modest white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, citrus rind, orange, caramel, pine and a hint of dank earthiness. Mouthfeel is medium and somewhat sticky; carbonation is sufficient to highlight flavor but not obtrusive. Alcohol is remarkably well hidden. Finish is clean and refreshing. Pretty good Left Coast DIPA, IMHO.
