To create a recipe so tropical and fruity without the addition of fruit was no feat our team of brewers would leave up to the gods. They took floral and citrus notes from Mosaic, Loral and Mandarina Bavaria hops to dish up a mouthwatering fruit punch to the palate. Get deserted on your own island or share with others. One thing is for sure: there is no need to light this one. It is already on fire.

12 oz. Can
CA: 12/12/18

Poured into a tulip a pretty nice clean/clear dark orangy color, with some pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy two-finger white head, which leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, guava), piney. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, guava), nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty brew. Glad to see it around here again.

Clear golden. Medium-sized, white head. Resin and citrus are dominant in the aroma, with light malty notes. Hoppy bitterness in taste. Good, classic IPA.

Rated 6-8-2019. Remember the bottle 22oz and must have had in the fridge for 3-6 months before I consumed it. Stone brews really hoppy beers and this one is no exception. Nice malt backbone and hoppy bitterness with not much bite. 76 IBUs

12oz bottle from 2022 12 Days of IPA variety pk into a pint glass.
L: Pours lightly hazed apricot. The haze is a visible & extremely fine sedimentary quality that is non-obtrusive. Head is a 3/4" rocky & puffy off white cluster w great retention, lite & fine carbo, very good lacing w medium sheeting & banding.
S: Caramelized malts, citrus, herbal & "spicy" hops, light alcohol w warming.
T: Bright, sharp hops, sweet & bready crystalized caramel malts, citrus, orange, grapefruit, tangerine, light zest, pine resin, a suggestion of toast, a hint of berries, hard sugar cookie, a hint of mango, alcohol w warming. Full flavored.
F: Juicy, an emphasis on hop punch & pow, medium bodied w a rich center and a med-long slightly drying finish. It has a light and lengthy linger. Overall mildly intense.
O: Fairly easy drinking for its ABV. Rather hop frwd, citrusy, sweet candied malts, resin with a tight, dry finish. An American IPA that is excellent in its style.

APPEARANCE: Clean, clear amber with a nice head of white suds. Wispy lace.
NOSE: Floral, citrus hops with a hint of tropical. Classic.
TASTE: Punchy hops presence, pulling in some twisty bitter punches. Old-school in a great way, this heavy-bodied, heavy-hopped beast is welcome here. Quite liked.
