Dark orange, fizzy carbonation, medium head, good retention.
Aromas of cider, pear, maybe some tropical fruit. Brett character is there but that's all there is.
Taste follows the nose, more like a sour imitation than an Orval.
Would not repeat.

This is a funny beer, I mean, when would Stone make such a beer called "Export IPA" that can nowhere be found (was no trace of it anywhere)?
And then, this "West Coast IPA w/Brett" just made it even more interesting: I'm not a huge fan of Brett when it's too Belgian, but this one, this is great. It has that remarkable smell of the yeast but it is a bit subtler on the taste and lets the hops do their part. Trademark natural carbonation makes the beer fresh and exciting, and the balance of the yeast makes it something like a Farmhouse Ale. Very UN-Stone-like. Stone is much more punchy and this one is rather experimental. But nonetheless interesting.
I was quite satisfied with this beer in every aspect, as simple and as well balanced as it is, makes it a fully enjoyable beer. As a rare find it was, it was indeed a good find.
