Found one of these in my basement. According to the bottle I should have finished it off 2 months ago (RVA-need to look that one up, but I assume birthdate--Nov 2018 ). Wasn't really expecting a lot, since I'm sure it came out of a variety pack with 2 or 3 others of the same variety. Fact that it was a leftover wasn't auspicious. HOWEVER, really surprised me. Loved it. Rich bitterness along with tastes that we don't normally get with the standard APA hops (which I love, BTW). I know I wasn't this blown away by the first 2 or 3 of these I drank. Could it be that the freshness encouragement is marketing-driven?

Not the normal scent(these days) you might get from an IPA. Much more malty/beery than you might expect. Sweet and somewhat citric on the flavor with slight bitterness. Med carbonation and a nice feel/end to this beer. Bitterness does build a bit. Pretty decent I’d say.

Part of a variety 12-pack $18.99 Target
Initial Citrus smells followed by yeast smells
Clear golden amber tinged color
Medium mouthfeel
Medium carbonation
Initial bitterness, but then starts to mellow a bit, some alcohol aftertaste
Overall an ok IPA. Not something I would buy again.

Heavy pour. Has an inch of head with good retention. Great lacing around the whole glass. Light amber color, clear, and no visible carbonation.
Herbal and floral smells.
Earthy and bitter taste, taste lingers on the palate. Sweet by the end.
Medium bodied, slightly dry.
It's alright, I prefer pretty much any other Stone IPA over this one.

Bright copper orange in color with perfect clarity. Poured with a tall, creamy white foam with excellent retention. Earthy hop aromas with herbal and light fruity notes. Medium malty aroma. Medium bodied with medium light carbonation. Light, creamy smooth feel with pleasant warmth near the finish. Earthy, herbal hop flavors with a solid malty backbone beneath. Medium high piney hop bitterness through the middle followed by bready and caramel malt notes, light fruitiness and light booziness near the end. Finished semi-dryly with light herbal and bready malt flavors. Fabulous appearance with mild hop character and solid maltiness. Well balanced with signature Stone maltiness. Easy drinking with earthy hop character. 0

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of floral notes, caramel and toffee. Sweet and malty with a piney bitterness.

Apparently a special release that can only be found in Costco 24 packs.
Pours gold with a copper tint, head that leaves big legs on the glass
Nose has a nice balance of pine, and fresh cut papaya, with a little citrus rind.
Taste has a slight earthy/grassy base, where pine and citrus are more prominent than the more subdued tropical notes
Body is slightly oily but still finishes with crisp refreshing pine.
Really a great release, does an awesome job of showcasing Azacca. Such a great single hop.
