Collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing
Where Stone goes boldly, the Evil Twin goes madly. Put them together in a city like Berlin, mix in the local influence and the result is something brazenly twisted. No other way to describe such a beer as this. Traditionally, the Berliner Weisse style is mildly tart and low ABV. Naturally, neither Stone nor Evil Twin have much of an interest in sticking with the established or the expected. We’ve cranked up the ABV and sourced elderflower to bring out the subtle tartness of this native Berlin beer with the goal of magnifying it beyond reason. Saures Übel possesses a citric and sour aroma and taste that manages to be both refreshing and intense. Pleasant and challenging. A bit of Stone bold, a bit of Evil Twin mad – the power of this beer lies in the electric creativity that’s possible when we assert that anything is possible.

A big, bold berliner brewed with elderflower. At 9.5%, this is officially the strongest berliner I've ever had and you know what? It's pretty tasty. It's dry, tart and slightly floral. Super easy to knock back several glasses. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Evil Twin and Stone opted for a berliner in this series; my money would've been on a stout. Overall, good beer and worth dropping a few bucks to try.
