Clear dark amber in the snifter with plenty of foam. Clean and tangy. Quite aromatic and so unusual I am baffled to describe it. The smell of an Indian imports shop? Not much sweetness comes through. Bitter aftertaste, though not excessive.
This Fox hop would not be mistaken for anything else. It's a mineral taste, green pepper, leather, and peaches burnt on the grill, and a jelly bean finish.
The flavor is lingering, potent. This is one for the hop collectors. It gets a bit acidic after some sipping. On tap at the Stone tasting room downtown SD by the Santa Fe station.
