on tap at Capone's...
Appears a murky dark mahogany with w small off white cap that quickly fades. Scattered bits of lacing are left around.
Smell is of huge hops, citrus, pine. herbs, wood, vanilla, and a hint of hot brandy.
Taste is of the aromas with a wood like flavor, caramel, cognac, and bitter hops.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, gritty, slick, tannic, bitey, and hot.

This one was on tap at the Sunset Grille in Allston mass for the week of the Craft Brewers Guild meeting.
A dark brown body that is nearly opaque crowned by a small, off-white head. Some good sheets of sticky lacing coats my glass.
This is pretty much the same thing as the Arrogant Bastard in Bourbon barrels, but replace bourbon with brandy. Therefore the aroma relies heavily on brady, bringing with it dark fruit and booze.
The flavor is almost all brandy. A hot booziness and some dark fruits like figs and dates. A touch of the big malt profile of the Arrogant bastard itself also comes through.
Medium bodied and carbonation, a little hot from the booze.
A pretty drinkable beer if you like brandy.
