This is an AMAZING beer. Reminds me of their OLD SCHOOL Russian Imperial Stout from the early 2000s. One of my all time favorites. This pours pitch black with a nice, light-brown, rocky head. Smell is of dark fruits and booze (barrel?). The taste is very complex. I can't do it justice with my lame palate and limited verbosity: Rye, sweet/complex barrel, and figs, raisins, etc. But, my favorite part is the mouthfeel and the buzz. This is sooo smooth and syrupy in the mouth and hits so hard...it's like a freakin desert wine. Amazing job from Stone again.
