Collaboration with Deschutes Brewery.
Nature is full of great collaborations. Take plants and pollinators for example - a symbiotic relationship that gives us fruits, vegetables and of course, honey. Although Stone and Deschutes have origins on near-opposite ends of the West Coast, our backyards are brought together in this hazy IPA brewed with equal parts Oregon blackberry honey and California orange blossom honey. A craft beer crosspollination, now available across the nation. Ain’t that sweet?
Featured Hops: Chinook, Triumph, Cashmere, Comet, & Mosaic

Copenhagen 14/4 2022. 47,3 cl can from N'Bro Kiosken, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. The can is designed like a bee hive with hexagons containing berries, leafs and flowers. In purple and yellow.
Pours unclear, golden amber with a big white head. Settles thin, flimsy layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with sweet honey and a more subtle citric scent. Peach ands passion fruit. A bit of honey. Subdued lemon and citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
Showcase the honey without overdoing it.

Draft at Stone RVA. Mildly hazy, bright golden, patchy head. Malty aroma, crisp hops and notes of honey. The orange blossom comes out more in the taste, along with a sharp bitterness. Hazy? Unless they're bending the rules.

L - Hazy golden, with a frothy white head that sticks around and leaves behind some lacing
S - piney, floraly hops with sweet honey and earthy notes. Some orange and grapefruit notes
T - Follows the nose with piney and floral hops up front and throughout, sweet honey intermixed well with orange and grapefruit notes as well as some pineapple, with earthy and grass notes. Some biscuit notes as well..
F - medium to full bodied with moderate carbonation, somewhat creamy. Smooth.
O - Probably one of Stone's better efforts at a truly hazy IPA.

Poured into a tall clear pint glass. Appearance is a dark golden color with more than a finger's worth of fluffy and sticky head. Good retention and lacing. Some floaters present.
Aroma: orange, grapefruit, honey, pine, bready malts, and dark berry. Smells very citrusy and full of piney goodness.
Taste: much like the aroma, really tasting the sweetness of the honey and citrusy notes in league with the bitter pine and hoppy notes. A nice balance. Body is medium-light.

Canned 9/1/21, enjoy by 12/30/21
You know, it’s not often that you see honey beers around (maybe honey bears) and even less common to see two different kinds of honey used. Blackberry and orange blossom huh? Maybe I’m a bit skeptical, but I’m not sure if those notes will really come through in a WCIPA but I’d love to be proven wrong. Let’s go
Pours a lightly cloudy orange gold with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
I'll be damned, the blackberry actually comes through in the nose. Not in any major way, but it's still nice for it to show. I'm picking up on aromas of tangerine, orange juice, bready malt, wildflower honey, floral hops, lightly tart blackberry
Wow, the blackberry is actually strong in taste, creating a beer that is wholly unique. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting tart blackberry, sweet honey, doughy malt, graham cracker, ruby grapefruit, orange pith, and light piney hops. The swallow brings notes of tart blackberry, sharp tangerine, piney hops, bready malt, light weed, and pithy grapefruit
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and sharp beer. Finishes mostly dry and quite bitter
Like I said, this is unique, but it's still ultimately a regular Stone IPA with some extra flair. That being said, I do enjoy it quite a bit
