Had on tap at Bubba Gump, Galveston.
On arrival the head had dissipated to a thin, white ring, on top of a clear golden body. No lacing is left.
Aroma is light, and simple. With a slight herbal/floral hop note that is balancing the pale malt sweetness. Average.
Flavor follows the aroma, with light malty flavors, as well as light herbal hops. Easy drinking, clean and balanced, but not memorable.
Feel is easy drinking, but a bit heavier than the flavor implies, making the feel not optimal. It seems like it's trying to be a light, less than hoppy, pale ale.
Overall this is a relatively generic, Californian blond ale that's trying to have the widest appeal possible. It's lightish, hoppyish, and refreshingish. There's nothing clearly wrong with it, but there is a lot of compromise here.
