Very pleased to get to try this at Stone sourfest! Thanks for putting on a great event, Bill.

It pains me to write this review. This, along with Russ and Bourbonic PLague, was one of the three beers I most looked forward to. And it was so bad. Like, shockingly bad. What happened? I heard such great things about Mission Impeachable...

Poured an insanely cloudy brownish .... peach ... color. Small white foam head. Smelled liked b.o., sweat, and moldy cheese. Wow. Maybe the slightest hint of dirt-trodden peaches.

Taste was well nigh unbearable. I struggled through a taster. Whoa. If a cheese could sweat, that is what this tasted like.

had on cask at sour fest.

poured a murky yellow. with no head with a tad of crab film on the top.

the aroma is like a peach fruit roll up. Jut a tad of sour or acid in the nose but not a lot.

the taste is great, the initial taste is sweet fruit, like taking a bite of a fruit roll up. then a nice sharp sour bite follows along. with a good pucker factor.

EDIT___
Realized in hindsight that I had a goat cheese omelet before the fest and that might have prep'd my palate to not taste the cheesy side of it that every one else got. Either way I am still happy with what I tasted even if I just lucked out with eating the exact right food before hand.

Cask at Stone Sour Fest

A: The pour is a hazy golden amber color, perhaps even peach in color with an initially voluminous white head from the hand pump.

S: Oh boy, this one is cheesy. The nose is full of cheese, bacteria, socks, and some artificial peach aroma. I honestly had a hard time taking a sip after smelling this beer.

T: Luckily the flavor was a bit better. An initially sharp tartness with a hint of vinegar. A fair amount of peach to the beer with some vinegar and a strong bacterial funk. Luckily not much cheese that I noticed.

M: The body was medium with a very light carbonation due to the cask serving.

D: This was a really disappointing effort. The flavor was not great, but the nose was just awful.
