Lots of beers over the years have brought this recipe into focus. It all started with the brown ale that was our brewer Kris Ketcham’s first-ever foray into brewing. The years since then have been a blur, but that first batch lead to the creation of numerous award-winning Stone beers, including another brown ale – Team Stone favorite Stone Lifeblood. Now we introduce the next evolution: Stone Lifeblurred. With astronomically intense caramel and toffee notes balanced by the citrusy bite of Cascade hops,it’s already picked up a debut medal of its own – Gold in the Strong/Imperial Brown Ale category at the 2024 US Open Beer Championship.

10oz from draft for $7 at the outdoor garden bar at Stone Liberty Station. Had been hoping to try this for months, always enjoy a brown ale and this one is extra special. Definitely an American Brown kicked up a few notches. Big time malt presence but stays true to character by being a bit raw and earthy without the heavy roasted flavors of other dark styles. The hop profile is even stronger, fruity and piney features really stand out here as soon as it hits your lips all the way through the finish. A bit hot and boozy as it warms. A unique beer and one everyone should try. Nice as a treat rather than a $20 4-pack, which is actually very reasonable.
