Surprised by the appearance of orange and actual head on a cask beer! Looks like a winner. Smell was a downgrade for Ruination. Jasmine dominated, mosaic hops did not.
Taste, woof, so bitter. Just no way to describe it other than a notch below all other forms of Ruination.

On tap at the brewery on April 12, 2013. . . the Cole man's 7th birthday! While the kids were out catching frogs on the Stone patio pond area, I was drinking this selection on cask.
Phenomenal looking beer, especially for being on cask. Carbonation actually existed, and it was slightly cool, instead of room temperature. Solid orange pour, slight haziness, not much, actual 1/2" white head on it. Impressive.
Aroma was more tea than hops, and definitely not mosaic hops. Good, but I was really hoping for some pungency from the mosaics.
Taste wise, the tea really drops some bitterness on top of the plenty bitter base Ruination. The mosaics are obscured, which is a shame, because that's a real good hop. It does kind of make Ruination a less powerful tasting beer. The alcohol wasn't huge, the bitterness, while ample, is just morphing with the tea.
I liked it, but probably not as much as the base or other Ruination variations. I think the green tea ipa they did last year was better too.
But the mouthfeel was decent, it had carbonation, which is a step in the right direction for many cask offerings.
